Young Associates
Environmental Assessment Projects

The Environmental Assessment of development proposals is a major component of the Partnership’s work and Young Associates has produced numerous Environmental Statements and Appraisals for a wide range of projects. These include: several road schemes and sea defence proposals, the construction of a combined cycle gas power plant, a dock expansion, an offshore dredging project and a number of quarry planning applications (under the Environment Act Review of Old Mineral Permissions).

Many of the proposed developments have been located within, or near to, European Conservation Sites and we have produced over a dozen Appropriate Assessments for such schemes in accordance with requirements of the EU Habitats Directive. The company's staff have also represented developers and objectors at Public Inquiry for a number of proposals.
