Terrestrial survey and assesment work is a major specialism for the Partnership and we retain in-house a number of staff that are qualified in key survey techniques including National Vegetation Classification, River Corridor Surveys, River Habitat Surveys Phase 1 and Phase 2 Habitat and protected species surveys (including great crested newts, bats, badgers and water voles).
These field survey skills and our understanding of terrestrial ecology provide robust support for our main areas of terrestrial work in the assessment of development proposals and the provision of advice to the development of policy documents (e.g the Scottish ,Trunk Road Biodiversity Action Plan).
We are also highly experienced in the production of management plans, habitat
restoration schemes as well as on-site development supervision.
